Turkish restaurant in Bos en Lommer: what to expect at Tuana Grill
Tuana Grill is a Turkish restaurant at Bos en Lommerweg 313 in Amsterdam-West, open since 2025, seven days a week. If you are looking for Turkish food in or near Bos en Lommer, this page tells you what to expect: what is on the menu, when you can come, how to get there, and how we handle groups, halal and delivery.
What is on the menu?
The heart of the kitchen is the charcoal grill. That is where the adana (spicy minced lamb), kuşbaşı (cubes of lamb on the skewer), köfte, chicken and the mix grill come from. Besides that:
- Döner and shawarma, as a platter, sandwich, dürüm or kapsalon.
- Lahmacun, the thin Turkish pizza, as a lighter choice.
- Soup and daily dishes: lentil soup and Turkish stews that change every day.
- Vegetarian: falafel, çiğ köfte, lentil soup and vegetarian pasta.
- Desserts: home-made fırın sütlaç and kabak tatlısı, and baklava.
Kebab platters come with free çiğ köfte and meze. The full menu with prices is on the menu page; to find out which kebab is which, read Turkish kebab types explained.
From morning until late at night
We open at 9 a.m. Until 12 noon there is soup and freshly made stews, the way people in Turkey eat soup in the morning; from 12 noon the full menu is available. On weekdays we are open until 1 a.m., on Saturday and Sunday until 3 a.m. More about eating after midnight in Late-night food in Amsterdam West.
Halal and alcohol-free
All our meat and chicken is halal and comes from halal butchers and suppliers. We do not have a halal certificate; we would rather say so straight away. No alcohol is served and no pork enters the kitchen. How exactly we do this is explained in Halal food in Amsterdam-West.
With children or a group
There are high chairs, a large table for groups and, in good weather, a terrace. For children we make a half portion on request. With a group, the mix grill for 2 or 3 people is an easy way to eat together. If you are coming with a lot of people, call ahead: +31 20 341 6285. Online booking is not possible.

What to look for in a Turkish restaurant
Look at the grill (charcoal or not), at a menu that is broad but not endless, and at who is eating there: a place where people from the neighbourhood come usually says enough. In How to choose a Turkish restaurant in Amsterdam we go through the points one by one.
